Fair Week

This week we attended the Tennessee Valley Fair. I had much higher expectations for the fair. Where I come from, they really know how to throw down a fair. The East Idaho State Fair is one amazing fair compared to the TN Valley Fair. I guess I took for granted the rich agricultural in Idaho. While at the fair we were able to find two animal barns which contained rabbits and chickens, but we could not find any cows, sheep, goats, horses, etc. Which was a HUGE disappointment to our whole family (we are animal lovers).

We grabbed a bite to eat, which also was a disappointment. Funnel cakes are just not the same in TN. Then, Jason was able to enjoy one ride on the vicious caterpillar roller coaster.

The majority of the week was spent building forts inside and praying that it would stop raining. It really knows how to pour rain here in TN. It started raining Sunday night and rained all day on Labor Day (and I mean ALL day) and continued to rain until Wednesday morning. Then it rained off and on until F We received a total of 8 inches of rain in just those few days. It was crazy! So we spent most our week inside playing, which was challenging at times, but we made it through! I can't tell you how good it felt on Friday to walk out and have clear skies and the sun shining!
